Community is important for people. Who would disagree with that?
But it was only in Bali that I experienced what it means to be part of a community that reliably welcomes me open-heartedly and without judgement.
When you confide in the right people, it becomes clear that everyone has their challenges. No one is alone with their pain, it is possible to share pain and heal. If you know your own pain, you can learn to deal with it. Then, when I have found the way to deal with it and the feelings have been clarified, I can let go.

The painting “The warmth of compassion” has come about because I have met people who listen without judging, evaluating, frightening or suggesting solutions. Trusting honesty about one’s pain in a safe environment is a seed for closeness and warmth. This is the starting point for healing.
What a relieving and blissful experience.
